how do I kill a smart rat that avoids rat zappers and spring traps baited with peanut butter and meat?

- ok, buy one of those rat killer treats, they're green and they will definetly kill the rat, the most it could take its a week........ Good Luck ;)
- There are sticky pads you can get at Home Depot and Lowes. They work really well! The rat can't move once he gets even a single foot on one. Put it infront of places you know he lurks through, like cabinetry and such. They work great.
- Put cheese not that stuff!duh!!!
- get a shot gun tape a flash light to the barrel. put some food like penut buter on the ground turn the lights off, wait till you haer him turn flash light on(he should be supprised) then shoot.....
- Have you seen caddy shack? Full of inspiration.
- How about a cat?
- 1. Use a variety of traps- glue, spring, poison bait, etc., and get creative in their placement- look for droppings and place them nearby. 2. Talk to the people who run that department at your local small/ma and pa hardware store. They will know what works locally. 3. Rats are curious. Use that against them. Bait a cage trap- but do not set it. Rebait it evey few days. Once the bait is taken several times in a row, set the trap. 4. Bacon (even bacon bits or doggie treat bacon) is a great bait. As you already know, cheese does not work.
- Rats are not that smart. They lurk in small spaces, and stay close to corners and walls. Move your traps.
